Smart Paint shows the high-tech in paint industry
It is reported that Scottish scientists are developing a low-cost “smart” paint that can detect microscopic faults in wind turbines, mines and bridges before structural damage occurs. Beside with the special capability of electrodes attached to detect structural damage long before failure occurs, the environmental-friendly paint could shape the future of safety monitoring, unveiled by researchers at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland.
Nowadays, the friendly and multifunctional productions in the coatings and paints grow rapidly which is a direct response to the needs of urgently green and health requirement. With the endless global demands and competition, more and more manufacturers gravely transfer to developing new tech to stand the foothold in the industry. It is the critical time for any manufactures to catch the opportunity to develop.
